Client Money Protection

Client Money Protection

Five Towns is a member of the Money Shield Client Money Protection scheme, giving landlords and tenants added security over any rent or deposit money we hold on their behalf.

What Client Money Protection means

Client Money Protection (CMP) is an insurance-backed scheme that protects landlords' and tenants' money in the event that an agent misappropriates it, for example through fraud or insolvency. Membership isn't just good practice, it's a legal requirement for letting agents in England.

Being part of a recognised CMP scheme means that if the worst happened, client money held by Five Towns Lettings would be protected, subject to the scheme's terms and limits.
